Belvedere is a destination restaurant that celebrates the best of Tasmanian dining through an authentic paddock-to-plate philosophy. Located in the heart of Hobart, Belvedere champions local Tasmanian produce and seasonal flavours, delivering a refined yet relaxed food and wine experience from breakfast through to all-day dining with a wine list.

Steeped in history, Belvedere blends heritage with contemporary hospitality. Once a colonial site and later a much-loved Art Deco dance hall from the late 1930s, its vibrant past is thoughtfully woven into the restaurant’s design. Statement chain art and carefully curated details honour this legacy, creating a dining space that feels both timeless and unmistakably Tasmanian.

A modern-day gathering place for locals, travellers and corporate guests, Belvedere is recognised as one of the best places to eat in Hobart. Whether unwinding with a glass of Tasmanian wine by the fire, sharing long lunches, or connecting over dinner, Belvedere delivers a memorable Hobart dining experience rooted in genuine Tasmanian hospitality.

We’re excited to be making enhancements to elevate your experience with us. Please note that our hotel lobby will be temporarily closed from 3 May to 30 May 2026, with guest check in available on Level 5. Belvedere lunch, dinner, and happy hour will return once works are complete - and happy hour will be even happier. In the meantime, guests can enjoy our daily buffet breakfast on Level 5 and evening room service, available seven-nights-a-week.
